Robotics Opportunities



Robotics Online Course for CEAs, Leaders and Members Offered this Fall
Texas Tech has graciously offered to conduct a FREE online robotics course for our Texas 4-H adults and members.  Individuals will learn the basics of building and programming the Lego Mindstorm EV3 robot.  Details and instructions for signing up are included in the link below;



 
Robotics Advisory Committee
Please see the attached document regarding a new state-level advisory committee being formed.  Applications are open now through October 10.  Applications are open to any County Extension Agent, teen 4-H member, or adult volunteer.  Each youth applicant must also have a reference complete the online recommendation form.  Links to the online youth and adult applications and the recommendation form are below.   Committee meeting dates will be determined once members have been selected.






 

Grants for Texas FIRST Lego League Teams


FIRST® in Texas Foundation Now Accepting Applications for Robotics Team Grants
The FIRST® in Texas Foundation is thrilled to announce that they are now accepting applications for team grants made possible by the Texas Workforce Commission, Dell, Freescale Foundation, 3M, and US FIRST® to support K-12 FIRST® Robotics teams throughout the state of Texas. All grants will be distributed through the FIRST in Texas Foundation.

To qualify for funds, applicants must complete the application provided on the FIRST® in Texas Foundation grant application page.
