State Fair Swine Validation Tags

If you plan to exhibit a market barrow at the Star Fair of Texas, you will need to submit an order form for validation tags. The form may be found at travis4h.com. (Look under the tab "4-H Livestock Information") Forms and fee ($10.00 per tag) are due to the Extension Office by Monday, April 26th. The form has a different due date, so please submit the form to John by April 26th.

Creedmoor Vaccination Clinic

Creedmoor 4-H is having a rabies clinic on Saturday April 17th from 1-3 pm at the Creedmoor Community Center located at 12511 FM 1625. Rabies vaccinations will be $10. Other vaccinations are available at a reduced cost.

State Steer Validation Tags

If you plan to exhibit a steer at any of the major shows or the Travis County Youth Show during the 2010-2011 year, please submit your order for steer tags. The actual validation date will be determined within the next couple of weeks, but plan for this to take place in June. The order form may be found at www.travis4h.com. Youth Leadership Program

A workshop dedicated to helping youth learn to become more comfortable in their public speaking skills. The workshop is FREE to participants, however, you will be responsible for paying for your lunch. Youth 12 years of age and older are allowed to participate. (must be 12 the day the program starts)

County Camp 2010 - Lake Brownwood

Travis County 4-H has 20 spots reserved for youth to attend County Camp at Lake Brownwood, July 7-10, 2010. Youth between the ages of 9-18 are allowed to attend. County Camp programs at the Texas 4-H Conference Center are designed to provide an opportunity for youth to experience summer camp while enjoying the advantage of meeting youth from across the State. Participants will enjoy canoeing, swimming, the climbing wall, drama, riflery, archery, arts and crafts, games, special events and more!

Adult leaders (Parents) are highly encourage to attend as chaperones. (Adults who attend, must be screened through the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program) Cory will not be able to attend due to other AgriLife Extension conflicts. Registration will be conducted via 4-H Connect. To participate, youth must register between March 21, 2010 and May 15, 2010. The cost of the camp will be $210.00 per youth member and $100.00 per adult chaperone.
