The storyboard includes original illustrations and flats, as well as additional materials (such as photos from the Internet or magazines, paper, fabric swatches, patterns, etc.) that have influenced the unique design.

Entomology Judging Clinic - March 29th

The Department of Entomology at Texas A&M will be hosting an Entomology Judging Clinic Saturday, March 29, 2014 on the campus of Texas A&M University.  The Entomology Judging Clinic is designed for all youth including 4-H, FFA, scouts, etc., that have an interest in entomology and the youth contests for 4-H and FFA.  The program will be from 8am to Noon and include separate instruction for beginning students and for advanced students on order recognition, morphology, biology and ecology, as well as materials, supplies, and instruction on making collections.  Everyone will then be able to rotate through instruction modules on insect diversity by order or order groups so that they can see, compare and interpret variation in size, structure, color, etc. across a multitude of specimen examples.  There will be a contest room for all to test their skill in a format similar to the 4-H and FFA insect identification contests.  We fully expect the adult leaders to attend any or all sessions and work side-by-side with their members, and we will have a list of resource materials available for their future use.

Students interested in the program must register at https://www.judgingcard.com (which must be completed by the extension office).  The cost is $10.00 per person; late registration is $15.00 per person.
