Family Clean Water Festival

Youth volunteers are needed to assist with the Family Clean Water Festival on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Volunteers will be in charge of a booth to assist with games and activities. This event is sponsored by The Colorado River Foundation. This is a great opportunity of something to add to your recordbook. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but you will not be required to be there all day if we have enough volunteers to plan a schedule. The event is being held at the Redbud Center: 3601 Lake Austin Blvd.

If you are interesting in volunteering, please contact Cory at cmtalley@ag.tamu.edu by March 18th,

If an entire club would like to be part of the event an run a specific booth all day, you are more than welcome to sign up that way.

Star of Texas Fair - School Tour Guides

The STAR School Tours Committee once again is securing tour guides and helpers for this year's event. These volunteers should be age 14 or older. The tour guides will be assigned classes and tour routes. The helpers will assist School Tour Committee members with other duties to make this event enjoyable and successful for everyone.

Volunteering as a school tour guide offers students the opportunity to help others while giving them leadership and community service experience. Students also receive other benefits such as daily drawings for prizes.

The school tours will be conducted March 21-25, 2011. If you are interested in serving as tour guide please email John at JjRiegler@ag.tamu.edu, indicating the day(s) you are committing to volunteer your time. You must email by February 24th.
