The 2018 Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge will be held on June 22-24 at the Seguin Outdoor Learning Center. This and the Outdoor Challenge Rules and Resource Guidecan be found in the “Contest” section of this page: https://texas4-h.tamu.edu/projects/outdoor-education-living-skills/
The 10 events for 2018 are:
- Off-road Biking
- Biologist Skills
- Gear Judging
- Outdoor Safety
There are a few changes to this year’s rules, which have been highlighted in the Outdoor Challenge Rules and Resource Guide. Please review that document fully - there are notable changes to rifle and fishing.
New this year, we will be limiting registration to the first 50 teams (100 youth). This means that both members of the team must be registered on 4-H Connect to be considered in this count. Registration will open on May 1 and close on May 30.
Coaches and Parents, please help ensure youth are fully trained in all 10 events as well as in the use of all necessary equipment to assist us with minimizing safety issues. If you have questions about training please contact Mellanie Mickelson at MLMickelson@ag.tamu.edu or Larry Hysmith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
