A message from Cullen D. Tittle, County Ag Agent in Brazos County:


The 2019 Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo is a little over 2 months away and the staff/volunteers have been busy adding new events and improving the existing ones. This year, a Steak Cookoff and Weld-Off Competition will be conducted on Saturday, October 12. The Ranch Rodeo and AgRobotics Contest will also be held on the 12th. Exhibitors submit their own entries online at https://brazos.fairwire.com/ by midnight, September 27, 2019.

Junior Livestock Show Scholarships: $1,500 scholarship will be awarded in Ring B to the Grand Champion animal in each junior/prospect show. $500 scholarship will be awarded in Ring B to the Reserve Grand Champion animal in each junior/prospect show. Division Champions in each junior/prospect show will be awarded $250. Each show must have sixty head entered total and each Division/Breed must have five or more head entered in the previous year’s show to be eligible for division/breed scholarships and buckles in the current year.
