Animal Handling with the Austin Opera Opportunity!

The Austin Opera is putting on a production of Ariadne auf Naxos, which is set on a farm in Texas. They would like to use 2 goats and 1 chicken with Travis County Youth acting as their animal handlers to help with specific blocking movements on stage.

The animals will only appear in the Prologue of the opera, so youth would be present for a short makeup session, assist with their animals at the beginning of the production, and be dismissed shortly after.  The Production Manager has also said that they would be able to pay a small honorarium for helping with this.

Attached is the proposed schedule (with a small typo) for assisting with the production.  If you are interested in this opportunity and are available for those dates, please sign up here by July 15, 2017.
