Sheep Capital Lamb Camp

The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office in Tom Green County are proud to present the Sheep Capital Lamb Camp, to be held in San Angelo on the fairgrounds, the first weekend in August.

The camp will be open to incoming 3rd graders through seniors in high school and exhibitors of all levels of experience are welcome to participate. The camp will be divided into three age divisions to better facilitate hands-on experience with the participants.

Camp will be a three day program, kicking off on Friday, August 4, with registration that morning and the clinic starting shortly after noon. Saturday will be a full day of clinic information and hands-on experience for the showman. A Family Fun Night is planned for Saturday evening. Sunday will wrap things up with a showmanship contest for the age divisions and an awards program just after lunch!

The registration fee will include breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, a t-shirt and a camp packet. There are also additional meal tickets available for children too young to participate. Each camp participant must also have an adult supervisor, though an adult supervisor can be responsible for multiple children.

Registration is available beginning May 1. Forms may be mailed to:
