2017 Texas 4-H Volunteer Recognition Awards (Salute to Excellence)

Each year, the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program provides awards and recognition for various individuals and groups that provide support to the 4-H program. All awards are presented at the Salute to Excellence Luncheon during Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station, Texas.

Recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to the youth of Texas is one of the most important things the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program can do. Any Extension employee, 4-H member and/or volunteer may make nominations for the awards. An award can only be presented one time to an individual and/or supporter.  A list of prior award winners is attached to the application. Please review this list to ensure the person you are nominating has not been honored with the award previously.

The online nominations will be accepted from February 6 to April 9, and notification of award winners will be April 21.  The Salute to Excellence Luncheon will be June 7.

The applications for nomination (there are six different awards) and list of previous winners may be found on the Travis 4-H website by clicking here.
