The Texas 4-H Youth
Development Program is pleased to announce the plans for the 2015 4-H Day at
the Capitol scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2015. This event is
designed for all 4-H members to learn more about our state legislative process,
see our legislators in session, and to visit with their respective elected
officials. The event registration is $30.00 per person and includes a
t-shirt, catered meal, printed materials, and appreciation tokens for our
elected officials. Registration will open February 1st and will close
when the first 300 registration are received or on February 28th. THIS IS
A LIMITED REGISTRATION EVENT DUE TO SPACE AND WE ARE EXPECTING A QUICK
REGISTRATION PROCESS - please communicate with your families that registration needs
to be completed immediately when registration opens.
The day’s event will
include: Opening Session and Welcome, Group Photo, Visit to either House
of Representatives or Senate Chambers for 4-H Recognition, Catered Lunch, and
office visits with legislators. Additionally, we will have four of our
statewide leadership/ambassador teams present to demonstrate 4-H projects and
activities.
