County Extension Agent Loses House and Belongings in Fire

Dear Texas 4-H Families:
On Friday, November 22nd, Cody Hill, County Extension Agent in Borden County (District 2) and his family lost their home and all possessions in a house fire.  Cody and his family were able to escape without injury, but they have lost everything.  Borden County officials have been very supportive and have made arrangements for temporary housing for Cody and his family, however, the task of replacing daily necessities which insurance will not cover has just begun.

A fund has been established to assist Cody and his family as they recover from the fire.  If you wish to donate to the fund, there are two methods for giving.  Donations can be mailed to the Borden County Jr. Livestock Association, Box 144, Gail, TX 79738 or on-line through the Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation by clicking HERE.

As each of us gather this coming week for Thanksgiving we ask for safety and protection for all our 4-H and Extension families as they travel to be with family and friends, and especially with Cody and his family as they rebuild.
