Youth Hunter Safety Education
Registration for our Fall and Winter retreats open on September 1st! 
Join us for the Youth Hunter Safety Education Camp, October 26-28. Participants will learn about their role in wildlife conservation. All materials, meals, and lodging will be provided for each participant. Each youth must be accompanied by an adult. Lodging is hotel style in the Leadership Lodge (hotel style), Registration fee is $300/person.




Junior Leadership Retreat
Junior Leadership Retreat 2018 is open for registration! Junior Leadership Retreat is designed for youth in 3rd through 8th grade. The sessions will be led by the Texas 4-H Council.

Chaperones are needed for this retreat. Each adult must be a screened volunteer in 4-H Connect Prior to camp.

2018 NCHA Judging Contest - 11/30-12/1

The contest has traditionally been open to collegiate competitors only, but this year the contest is also open to Senior 4-H and FFA youth teams too!  The schedule will include a judging clinic provided by Russell McCord, NCHA Director of Judges so this is a great educational and contest opportunity.  Not to mention the great prizes and a chance to be present during the prestigious and exciting NCHA futurity.

One Day 4-H is coming up! Have your club register their One-Day 4-H Project here!


Just a reminder to all 4-H groups and clubs to register your One Day 4-H Project online at:

4-H members and their clubs/county programs should start now on identifying and planning a community service project. Work to secure all the necessary supplies/equipment/resources to get the project done.



 

Texas 4-H Day in Aggieland Details!

We are passing on the updates and more detailed information on the Texas 4-H Day in Aggieland event next Saturday, October 6th. Individuals are still invited to come to the event even if they have not RSVP'd. To RSVP now please do so here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PD356RZ for the tailgate and at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PCLNLJQ for the student session. 

Please make sure to forward this information on to all families and volunteers in your county to ensure those that did RSVP have the most recent information as we don't have direct contact information for those individuals. 

Tailgate:
  • Where: AgriLife Center/Event Lawn at The Gardens at Texas A&M University (there will be a large white tent that will make the event easy to find) 
  • Time: 3 P.M. 
  • Free food, entertainment, and mingling. They will also be streaming the game inside the AgriLife Center for those that choose not to go to the game.
  • Look for the Texas 4-H Booth at the event to take a picture with our photo frame!

Prospective Student Sessions:
  • Where: Agriculture and Life Sciences Building 
    • The session will be held in one of the classrooms in the building. Please look for signage in the building directing to the classroom. 
  • Time: Sessions offered at 2 P.M. and 3 P.M. to accommodate the large number of participants. 

Football Game:
  • Kickoff is still TBD, but is supposed to be sometime around 6 or 6:30 P.M.
  • Clear bag policy - the stadium strongly enforces the clear bag policy. More information for that can be found at: clear-bag-policy.aspx 
  • Allow plenty of time to enter into the stadium as lines and getting to your seat can sometimes take more time than you expect. 
  • Don't forget your tickets!
