Unlike any other calf scramble program, USC is a one-day tournament in
which competitors catch calves in hopes of advancing to the next round.
Half of all competitors will receive at least $1,000 for catching a
calf. An additional $15,000 will be divided among the 20 competitors who
make it to the finals in the Rodeo Arena, with one person receiving a
first-place prize amount of $5,000 and the title of Ultimate Scramble
Champion. With the USC certificates, winners can purchase animal of
choice: market steer, market lamb, market goat, market barrow, breeding
heifer or boer goat to bring to the next year's show.
2016 Ultimate Scramble Championship online entries will open October 1,
2015 at 10 a.m. Only ASTs or CEAs may enter participants. Spots will be
limited to the first 160 participants (64 girls, 96 boys) to enter
online and mail in payment and the required entry collection form. After 160 spots are filled online, entry will be open to
alternates. Alternates should not mail in payment or the entry
collection form until they are notified by Rodeo Austin of an open
spot.
If you interested, go the following link and check out the rules for this contest and download, complete and submit the form and payment to Cory by September 30th so that you name can be entered on October 1st.
