4-H members, ages 14-18 (at time of camp)
volunteer to serve as Mentors and are paired with youth to ensure that
everyone has a successful experience. This service learning opportunity
has been said to be “life changing” by previous Mentors. It is a
challenging job, not one to be taken lightly.
It is certainly not intended to be “one for
the Record Book”, but rather “an experience that will change your life
forever and help you gain an appreciation for others who may be
different”. A successful mentor is kind, patient, understanding and
willing to work as a team for the success of the whole group.
If interested in serving as a Mentor, please
complete the application and return to Dr. Locke at the 4-H Center.
Mentors arrive at the 4-H Center on Sunday, July 7 for training
immediately before camp.
