This coming Saturday, April 14th, is the annual Vet Science
Open House at Texas A&M University, http://vetmed.tamu.edu/open-house.
The Hill Country Austin 4-H Club of Travis County has worked with Texas A&M
to set up four SPECIAL FREE classes this Friday night, April
13th from 6-10 p.m., in conjunction with the Open House.
Most of our group will also be attending the Texas A&M Vet Science
Open House on Saturday; however, that isn't a requirement to attend Friday's
evening's classes and some will return to Austin on Friday
evening. We set these classes up starting last semester and are
excited that JUST YESTERDAY, Texas A&M contacted us to say that they
have room for 60 and not just the 25 we originally requested. So, there
is room for YOU! Contact Michelle Ward at MAWard@cvm.tamu.edu for details on
location and parking and to let her know you'll be there on Friday evening.
The Friday classes will include:
6:00-6:50 Sheila Teague,
Registered Veterinary Technician-Equine Reproduction
7:00-7:50 Katy Waddell,
Registered Veterinary Technician-Small Animal Anesthesia
8:00-8:50 Virginia
Johnson, Biologist-Breeds of Horses
9:00-9:50 Dr. Larry
Johnson, Professor-Anatomy and Physiology
Also, we also have a couple of extra hotel rooms
reserved at the Four Points by Sheraton in College Station for
$119/night. If you aren't able to locate a room and wish to stay, let me
know and we can coordinate the transfer of a room to you. Please
