Mission Possible

Mission Possible a unique camp for youth with and without disabilities held annually at the Texas 4-H Conference Center in Brownwood. Camp this summer will be July 7-9. 4-H members volunteer as Mentors (application due March 15) and gain a rich experience serving alongside a youth with a medically diagnosed disability. Time is running out to apply as a Mentor, so contact Doc Locke asap at dlocke@ag.tamu.edu  But, there is plenty of time for families to inquire about sending their son or daughter who may have a medically diagnosed disability. The camp is generally able to provide services for youth with Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, various forms of mobility impairments, hearing and visual impairments, but each prospective camper is evaluated individually for their specific needs. The three day, two night camp is $175; campers participate in a traditional 4-H camp program including swimming, challenge course, shooting sports, field games, arts and crafts and dancing!

Contact Dr. Locke at dlocke@ag.tamu.edu for either a Mentor or Camper application. Due to the nature of the audience served, space is limited
