TEXAS 4-H
PARTNERS WITH HILL COUNTRY SCIENCE MILL TO CREATE FIRST VIRTUAL 4-H SCIENCE
CHALLENGE CLUB
Do you LOVE science and want to
experience it in a new way? Then you need to plan to join Texas 4-H as we
welcome a new educational partner to Texas. On February 14, 2015 from 10
am to 6 pm, the Hill Country Science Mill will celebrate their grand opening in
Johnson City. This awesome hands-on experience will allow youth (and adults) to
engage in a variety of science, engineering, and technology themed exhibits.
Texas 4-H is proud to be
partnering with the Hill Country Science Mill to host a virtual "Science
Sleuth Challenge" for youth who have visited the Mill and then log on to
the their website after returning home. This "first of its
kind" virtual 4-H Science Club allows youth from Texas, the United States,
and even the world to participate in a variety of on-line science challenges
where you can win virtual badges and possible invitations to present your
challenge results at the Mill or other 4-H events. To participate in the 4-H
Science Challenge you must have visited the Science Mill, so get your 4-H Club
to plan a field trip in the Spring or this Summer - IT WILL BE AN AWESOME
EXPERIENCE!!!
Additionally, look forward to future
announcements for science based camps and workshops being held at the Hill
Country Science Mill. As a collaborator with the Hill County Science Mill
we want as many 4-H members to take advantage of the unique and creative
science workshops.
