The
2013 Poultry Institute for Youth, sponsored by the Texas A&M University
Poultry Science Department and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, will be
held Sunday, June 16 through Tuesday, June 18, 2013 on the Texas A&M
University campus in College Station, Texas. This program gives high
school students with an interest in the poultry industry a chance to gain
first-hand knowledge. They will have the opportunity to meet both Texas
A&M faculty and Texas poultry industry leaders. A portion of the
institute will also include hands on activities as well as field trips to local
commercial poultry companies.
Students
who will be a junior or senior in high school in the Fall of 2013 or have just
recently graduated from high school are eligible to attend. Interested
students must complete and submit an application that can be found at http://posc.tamu.edu/files/2012/08/2013-Institute-Application.pdf
by Friday, May 3, 2013. The cost to attend is $50/student (do not
submit this with your application). Lodging and meals are
provided. Students who are selected will receive a confirmation packet
