Livestock Extravaganza

Te Livestock Extravaganza will be held the morning of July 28 a the Buda Vo-Ag Building.  This workshop will focus on sheep, swine, and poultry projects.  Since all three workshops will be going on at the same time, a person will only be able to attend one of the three.  When you register, you can sign up for which workshop you will want to attend.

We have a great slate of speakers!  Todd Swift will be presenting the sheep presentation.  Todd is the County Extension Agent in Blanco County and has judged many prospect and county lamb shows across the state of Texas.  Todd brings a lot of knowledge and experience to this lamb presentation.

The swine presenter will be Chuck Real.  Chuck is a swine breeder from Marion and has judged swine shows across the United States.  He is very knowledgeable about the swine industry and a great person to have the opportunity to ask any question of regarding your market swine project.

Our poultry presenter is Phil Koehler.  Phil has judged broilers and turkeys at numerous county shows (he judged Hays County in 2011 and 2012).  He has also served as a poultry judge at many of the major livestock shows in Texas.

We are very fortunate to have such a great list of presenters coming to share their knowledge with us.  Do take advantage of this opportunity.  Share this information with others that are interested in raising a swine, lamb or poultry project.

Cost to participate is $10/person and payment will be made at the door.  Please register by July 25 so we can have an accurate headcount for our presenters.  The Buda 4-H Club will have a breakfast concession stand set up that morning.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
