2015 Invitational Photogrpahy Contest
The Texas Association of Extension 4-H Agents
(TAE4-HA), a professional Extension organization for County Extension Agents,
Specialists, and Extension Administrators for the purpose of professionalism,
collaboration, and youth development. The members from District IV delegation
are hosting an invitational photography
contest for youth and adults to provide scholarship funds for district level
4-H leadership events.
Contest participation will cost $10.00 for the first photo and $1.00 for each additional photo per individual. Payment can be check or money orders only and should be mailed with photo submissions. Payment should be made out to D4AE4-HA Photography Contest. Photos will not be consider as an entry until payment is received.

Volunteer and Clean up Equipment Needed for Hays County Flooding
For those wanting to volunteer and assist with the Hays County Flood Clean up below is some information from the Hays County Sheriff's Office:
We have set up an email account for use by the public to volunteer
equipment and volunteer service organizations: hayscoflood@co.hays.tx.us
If you have equipment that you would like to offer for use during the clean up the flood areas, send an email with a complete detailed list of what resources/equipment you have to offer. Include a Point of Contact name with email address and telephone number. It will be forwarded to the administrator and you will be contacted if your equipment can be utilized.
If you are part of a volunteer organization, please email with Point of Contact name, email address and telephone number and number of available persons in your group. It will be forwarded to the administrator and you could be contacted for possible deployment.
Beginning tomorrow afternoon, we will have a Volunteer Coordinator Contact for individuals who want to assist on an individual basis. We are not prepared to accept people for this today. We will notify the public when the system has been set up.
We appreciate all of your patience during this incident.

T-shirt to Tote Bag Service Project
A service opportunity is available for those who would like to participate in recycling old t-shirts to make tote bags. This is a collaborative effort of departments within Travis County. Kaufman County Dog Show
The Kaufman County 4-H Dog Project Workshop and Show
on May 30th is cancelled due to facility double booking. We
are going to add a date in the fall to make up the date. We are still
hosting the June 20th show at the Kaufman County Fairgrounds.

Horsemanship Clinic - June 8-10 - Giddings, TX
The Brush Poppers 4-H Horse
Club will host an A&M Horsemanship clinic for 3 days Monday-Wednesday June
8-9-10. We will be at the Lee County Sheriff Posse covered arena (off highway
290 in Giddings, TX).
Cost will be $35 per day,
or $75 to ride all 3 days. There is no cost to view from the stands, but you'll
get more out of it if you bring a horse. Our clinic is open to adults as well
as youth riders, and 4-H membership is not required. The instructors will be
from the A&M horsemanship program. Horsemanship levels include from
beginner (must be able to control the horse at a walk and trot) to advanced
(working on flying lead changes and advanced skills). There will be some time
for special interest hints like trail obstacles, patterns, or barrels. We may
limit enrollment, so please let us know if you plan to attend. We'll send more
information about stalling, camper hook-ups, and liability release after you
RSVP.

hosting the “I Support the Clover” Silent Auction during Texas 4-H
Roundup, June 9-11, 2015.
Online pre-bidding will
begin on Friday, May 15th at 8 am. You can

until Monday, June 8th at 5 pm.
Proxy bidding is also
available online, should you not be able to attend the LIVE event in
