Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge
The Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge is scheduled for July 9-10 at the Texas 4-H Conference Center in Brownwood. Registration will take place on 4-H Connect for all contestants from May 16 through June 15. There will also be an option for non-contestants to reserve lodging and meals.
Below are a few details about the event and registration.
CONTEST FEE
Contest registration fee (per person) = $30 (does not include any meals nor lodging)
LODGING/MEALS COSTS PER PERSON (optional for contestants and non-contestants)
Option 1: Friday/Saturday night lodging + 5 meals = $110
Option 2: Saturday night lodging + 4 meals = $70
Option 3: no lodging; but do need 5 meals = $60
Option 4: no lodging; but do need 4 meals = $50
EVENTS
There are 10 events for this year's Outdoor Challenge. Those are listed in blue below. Rules and resources pertaining to each of those events and how they will be scored can be found on our website at: http://tinyurl.com/tx4hoc
Events: Archery, Shotgun, Canoeing, Knots, Wildlife, Fishing, Rifle, Camping Safety and Swimming.
As a reminder, this is a contest, so all participants need to come prepared to compete in each of these 10 events. There is no time in the schedule for training.

Cedar Park Rodeo
This three day event will include both PBR and PRCA competition as well as tons of fun for your group! Event will be held June 23-25, 2011 at the Cedar Park Center. The order form can be found at www.travis4h.com - look under the tab " non 4-H Events" - The center is offering a discount to 4-H groups so if you plan to go, be sure to tell them you want the 4-H discount.

Leader Lab Registation Deadline Extended
For those youth who will be or are 13 years of age by June 29, 2011 and have not graduated are eligible to attend District 10 Leadership Lab in Brownwood, TX. The registration deadline has been extended through May 31st. Register via 4-H Connect. A flyer may be found on travis4h.com under the events tab.
