We wanted to reach out about ReFashion Retreat, coming to the 4-H Center January 13-15. This retreat is designed to teach participants about the 4-H Clothing and Textiles Project. Please note that this event is family style and each youth participant will need to be accompanied by an adult. All adults must enroll as a 4-H volunteer, have a verified background check, and complete Child Protection Training in 4-H Connect.

Texas 4-H Robotics Advisory Committee



The Texas 4-H Youth Development program is now accepting applications for youth and adult committee members to serve on the Texas 4-H Robotics Advisory Committee.  Applications will close at midnight on December 9, 2016.  Eligibility and other details can be found in the document below.  Here are the links for youth and adult applications.  Youth are required to have a CEA, club manager, or project leader (non-relative) complete the Youth Recommendation Form

Horse, Beef, Swin & Food/Nutrition Invitational Quiz Bowls



The District 9 4-H Youth Development Program will be offering an Invitational Quiz Bowl for Swine, Horse, Beef and Nutrition on January 14, 2017. Registration opens on November 16th and closes on January 9th on 4-H Connect.

2016 D-10 Fall 4-H Round-Up

Adult leaders are being sought to assist with the running of the Round-Up contests.  If you  would be willing to assist with the Food Show and Food Challenge contests, please contact Nathan Tucker.

National 4-H Conference



Applications are being accepted now through December 15 for National 4-H Conference. National Conference is a working conference where youth and adults assist in the development of recommendations to help guide 4-H Youth Development Programs nationally and in their communities. The program will be held in Chevy Chase, Maryland at the National 4-H Center with travel into Washington, DC. Dates for 2017 are March 25-30.

Youth, ages 15-18, are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted in 4-H Connect through December 15. There is no fee to apply. The Texas delegation will be announced by January 13, 2017. Selected delegates will then have until February 1 to register and make payment of $2,000. The registration fee covers the delegate’s share of registration, adult chaperone registration, lodging, airfare, meals and ground transportation. Delegates are housed at the National 4-H Center.
