Texas Pork Industry Symposium

The Texas Pork Industry Conference and Youth Symposium is an event for everyone interested in the pork industry. Adults and youth will engage in a variety of activities throughout the weekend to expand their knowledge and skills, while visiting and meeting other producers and industry leaders from around the state.

2015 Turkey Orders

For those who plan to exhibit turkeys at the Travis County Youth Show or one of the following major shows; San Antonio, Houston or STAR, ordering information is posted to Travis County 4-H Website. Information and rules are posted under Poultry under the tab "4-H Livestock and Animal Information" .

Heifer Validation - NEW!!

Any youth who plans to exhibit a heifer at any of the major livestock shows, your heifer will need to be validated. Please contact Cory at cmtalley@ag.tamu.edu if you have or plan to have a heifer.

Travis County 4-H Award Application Forms



I would like to encourage you, if you have not already, to look at the county award application forms to see what you might be able to apply for. Travis County 4-H hosts an  annual 4-H Achievement Banquet (August 15th ) and the way to be recognized is for you to apply for awards.
Check out the award forms on this link below. The deadline has been extended to June 30th.  Take the opportunity to be recognized for the project work you are doing.

4-H Recordbook Workday

Recordbook Workday - Thursday, June 19th, 9:00 am  - 4:00 pm at the Travis County Extension Office. Bring your laptop or other tangible papers and Cory will assist you with your recordbook and answer questions.

Recordbooks are due Friday, June 27th

4-H Bean Bags

Attention 4-H youth who can/ like to sew. The Travis County Extension office is in need of some handmade bean bags. This is a great opportunity for 4-H promotion in the clothing and textiles project. This is an experience that looks good in a 4-H Recorbook and 4-H Scholarship Application. Completed bean bags may be dropped off at the county extension office.

I Support the Clover Auction at Texas 4-H Roundup

The Texas 4-H Foundation is pleased to be hosting the 2014 Texas 4-H Roundup the "I Support the Clover"  Silent Auction.  Proceeds from this on-line and live silent auction go to support 4-H programming statewide.   

The auction currently open, but will close this SATURDAY, JUNE 7 AT 11:45 PM!  Many items will be offered with BUY IT NOW pricing!   

Are you attending Roundup and want to see the items on display?  On Monday, June 9th at 8 am the LIVE Silent Auction will begin.  The opening pricing on the items will be the last online bid pricing.  Proxy bidding is also available for those unable to attend Roundup but would like to keep in on the bidding action of the LIVE event.
